The Training Centre “Dainava” for Civil Servants and Local Administration is a non-profit making institution founded in 1996 by the Ministry of Public Administration Reforms and Local Authorities or the Republic or Lithuania. Centre “Dainava” was originally set up to study and analyse the needs for qualification improvement in regional and local administration and prepare training programmes and training materials. Since 1996 Centre “Dainava” has
organised seminars on problematic issues, holds conferences, develops and implements various relevant projects.

Main fields of activity:
- Training of Civil Servants
- Survey on training needs of the Civil Service
- Preparation of training programmes and training materials
- Organisation of courses, seminars and international conferences and other events concerning the improvement in the qualifications of civil servants.
Clients:
- Civil Servants from ministries, departments, counties, regions, municipalities, employees from enterprises which belong to government and municipalities.
Trainers:
- Trainers and lecturers work at the Centre on a short-term contract basis. They are all experts from universities, private consultancy firms and officials from different government institutions. All trainers who have contracts with the Centre are use active training methods during their courses.
