CNFPT launches the 1st Barometer of Local Institutional Reforms in Europe !
The CNFPT is very pleased to present the results of its first major European barometer of local institutional reforms in Europe realized in collaboration with the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA).
This barometer aims to show in a concise and simple way the main parameters of the horizontal and vertical organization of levels of local administration in countries of Greater Europe. It gives a state of play on levels and strata of local authorities in Europe as well as evolutions and reforms that have taken place in the past 10 years.
Simplification of the role and action of local authorities is at the heart of current debates on local reforms, and it is with this perspective in mind that the Barometer aims to give us the capacity to follow and analyse the evolution of territorial structures and therefore the institutional architecture of territories as reforms are undertaken.
Updated regularly in partnership with CEMR and the Council of Europe, this barometer enables us to follow reforms undertaken with regards to main horizontal and vertical divisions in local institutional matters.
It offers local and regional authorities a good source of information and positioning to promote their development. This European barometer is in line with the partnership with ENTO, of which CNFPT has been a member since 2017. This valuable collaboration reinforces ENTO’s desire to continue and intensify the organization of activities that facilitate the sharing of experience and good practices among its members and thus propose concrete measures to pave the way for innovation within local and regional authorities.
